Choose the Skill Level You Have
It is important to know what your skill set is in order to determine what type of training you will be taking. There are four (4) options you can choose from:
- Novice operator course – this is ideal for operators who are absolute beginners, and with little or no prior experience in the operation of Bendi/Flexi. This course can last up to 5 days because the program is more comprehensive.
- Experienced operator training – just the name implies, this training is suitable for operators who have prior experience operating this truck but had not undergone formal training. The composition of candidates in a training session usually is 3-5 and it takes a shorter time to complete compared to a novice course.
- Refresher course – if you have had your certificate and license on Bendi and need renewal, the refresher course is what you need to undergo. This training usually lasts for 1-2 days and a much shorter time is only needed comparing to the courses mentioned above.
- Conversion training – if you’re an operator who have had licence in counterbalance forklift, for example, and you want to be trained to operate Bendi/Flexi to include into your qualifications, then the conversion training is the one you need. The conversion training can be completed in a day or two.
How Much Does the Bendi Forklift Training Cost?
Forklift training is a great way to learn how to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. The Bendi forklift training cost will depend on the skill level you will be taking. See this page for more information.
A novice training course, which tends to be lengthy, costs around £450.00 per participant, while a refresher course which is much shorter in duration only costs around £200.00. the experienced operator course is £350.00 to take and the conversion training is just £250.00.

What are the Course Contents
In order to get a Bendi/Flexi forklift licence, the training participants must undergo four (4) phases: classroom instruction, practical exercises, and knowledge evaluation (written test) and performance assessment (practical test).
The participant will attend the class spearheaded by the instructor. Topics covered in the classroom instructions are Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER), Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER), prevailing regulations, best safety practices, health and safety, and other relevant topics.
The second phase of the course is the practical exercises wherein participants will be given their time to operate the Bendi forklift, it is the behind-the-wheel exercises.
A written test may be administered to gauge the knowledge of the participants from the two (2) phases of the course. At the end is the performance assessment where the participants will be given sets of tasks to complete.
If both the written and performance assessments have been satisfactorily completed by the participants, they will be given a certificate of training completion, which most people referred to as the licence.
How Long Will Your Bendi Forklift Licence Last?
A Bendi forklift licence is valid for a minimum of 3 years. After this period, the driver must apply for renewal and undergo refresher training before they can continue to operate a forklift legally. If you are unsure as to how long your current licence will last or if it has already expired, give your preferred training provider a call so that they may help you with any queries related to your licence.
We would like you to take note that there’s no expiry date, but to maintain qualification, again, completion of the refresher course is needed.
